I first went skiing when I was 15, on a school trip. Instantly hooked, I travelled to Canada three years later to become a ski instructor. The very next season I spent in Zakopane, teaching people how to ski and I’ve been here ever since! I fell in love with the place and its people, so much so that I married a local girl, Kasia, last year.
Apart from teaching skiing and snowboarding (I also became a qualified snowboard instructor in 2013) my interests are seeing the world, hiking in the mountains and exploring the great outdoors.
A Unique Winter Holiday
Zakopane offers a winter holiday like no other. Of course, a great attraction is the price, which is far cheaper than comparable holidays elsewhere, but there is so much more to an adventure here. For starters, the apres ski is unbeatable, with husky sledding, horse drawn sleighrides by torchlight, ice skating, snow kiting and snowmobiles all available in the town itself.
Relaxing in the thermal pools of nearby Gorocy Potok is a never-to-be-forgotten experience, especially when it’s cold outside, whilst a daytrip to the magical city of Krakow should be on everyone’s bucket list. Why not combine a skiing holiday to Zakopane with an overnight city break in the country’s historic capital? We’ll be happy to work around your plans to ensure yours is the best holiday possible.
